I’m Ladislav Hubert, a London-based artist creating digital mixed-media art.
In my work, I bring together imagery inspired by historical art, natural forms and intricate patterns. I combine and transform these elements digitally, creating images that mix the familiar with the strange and often bring together things that seem very different.
I’m interested in themes such as transformation, mortality, spirituality and the hidden connections between things. I often start with an idea, but experimenting with images and patterns can take the work in unexpected directions. Sometimes, the final image develops in ways I didn’t plan at the beginning.
I enjoy making art that rewards a closer look. There are details to discover, connections to notice and different ways to interpret what you see.
