The Crow illustration. Could it actually be possible that crows are a symbol of dreadful luck or an omen? Throughout the humankind, there are many diverse myths of black crows. The majority of these legends say that to see a black crow, it is an omen of misfortune. In Japan, the crow is seen as bad fortune, but they are said to carry messages from the gods. Also, alchemists saw crows as symbolize the elements that had been created after they had been separated. In Egyptian fable, a picture of two crows together is said to denote a joyful marriage. Some of us may be a little superstitious and others may not be. In Russia, it is said that witches can become the form of crows. In the British Isles a widespread traditional rhyme records the myth:
