The Firestarter
There’s no real explanation for the title of this illustration. This is a firestarter illustration of a lady. Simply just Firestarter. It would perhaps be better to call it She Lit a Cigarette or The Last Night in the Club. When this picture was growing, I just started to play with abstract automatic lines drawn by hand using my old Wacom intuos.
Sometimes you see lines, a shapes and wonder, what it means and you start looking for some meaning. They can carry a lot of meaning due to their connection with more concrete natural forms and can communicate quickly and effectively. As the picture was build I took some references from pin up photos and old vintage movie star portraits. There’s no fire without sparks – and The Firestarter was born.
