The Forest
I’m really excited to share my new piece, “The Forest”. I was inspired by old engravings when I made it. There’s a magical forest fairy in it, wearing a mysterious mask.
I wanted to play around with the idea of ethereal entity – a mysterious fairy – shrouded in secrecy and magic, so I made a black and white digital piece that feels a bit dreamy and antique. I mixed old-school engraving styles with a modern touch to create a dark gothic atmosphere.
The fairy’s eyes and the fancy mask are full of secrets and magic. She’s wearing a feather mask to hide her identity but still looks beautiful and mysterious. Her eyes are like windows into something unknown.
The forest is full of life and hidden meanings. Circles in the picture show how life keeps going round and round. There’s a glowing moon that feels like a secret guide. Using just black and white helps you really see the details and what everything means.
I hope people look at this gothic contemporary art piece and think about who they are and how they fit into the world. It’s about the things we hide and the things we show. I wanted to show the balance between light and dark, beauty and mystery. The fairy is like a bridge between the real world and something magical. I love mixing different ideas and styles in my art, and I think “The Forest” is a good example of that.
